## Background

The Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) relies on intensive, simulator-based training to prepare personnel for complex operational roles such as Air Combat Systems Operators. These sessions, often lasting several hours, require instructors to closely observe performance and manually document key behaviours and outcomes. As training demands increased, this process became time-intensive, inconsistent, and difficult to scale, placing added pressure on instructors and limiting overall training throughput.

## The Challenge

Simulator-based training within the Royal Canadian Air Force is **resource-intensive and difficult to scale.** With limited simulator capacity, it is critical to maximize the value of each session. **However, post-training documentation remains manual, time-consuming, and inconsistent,** requiring instructors to spend significant time capturing and summarizing performance. This not only reduces efficiency but also constrains overall training throughput and impacts operational readiness.

## Solution

Knockri partnered with the RCAF to develop an AI-assisted proprietary training assessment tool designed to enhance post-simulator evaluation without disrupting existing workflows.
